Job summary

The Knot Worldwide in Gurgaon, India is seeking a Sales Associate to drive new business and grow subscriptions for our vendor marketplace. You will identify prospects, qualify leads, and build relationships to convert opportunities into revenue while managing a healthy pipeline.

You should be commercially driven with strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of owning the full sales cycle, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in subscription/SaaS/digital sales.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing new business.
  • Strong prospecting skills and confidence with cold calling and proactive outreach.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and communicate product value clearly.
  • Strong ownership for targets and outcomes.

As a Sales Associate, you’ll play an important role in driving revenue by helping businesses grow their presence on our platform through subscription sales. You’ll be responsible for identifying and qualifying prospects, building relationships, understanding customer needs, presenting the value of our products, and converting opportunities into successful sales.


The ideal candidate is commercially driven, confident in their communication, and comfortable taking ownership of the full sales cycle. You should have a strong sales instinct, be proactive in your approach, and be able to clearly articulate value while building trusted relationships with customers.


Responsibilities:


  • Drive new business sales through a combination of inbound leads, outbound prospecting, and proactive outreach.

  • Identify, qualify, and engage potential customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other prospecting channels.

  • Understand customer needs, challenges, and business goals, and position our products and solutions accordingly.

  • Conduct engaging sales conversations, product presentations, and demonstrations.

  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline to consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly targets.

  • Develop strong customer relationships and guide prospects through the sales process from initial contact to closure.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and execute new business development opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions in the CRM.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and strengthen sales conversations.

  • Continuously look for ways to improve sales effectiveness, customer experience, and overall business performance.


SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:


  • 2–4 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in a subscription, SaaS, marketplace, or digital sales environment.

  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
