Job description

The primary purpose of the Senior Accountant is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports. This role involves overseeing accounting operations, managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing financial analysis and reports.
• Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Preparing state, local, and special tax returns.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Ensuring quality control by reviewing the work done by junior staff.
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Requirement

• Advance knowledge of latest Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent accounting and statutory compliance knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of Tally and other accounting systems
