Job summary

Dentsu Amp in Mumbai is seeking a Junior Account Executive / Associate to support day-to-day accounting operations within a creative/production environment. The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience and a BCom degree, with strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS reporting) and attention to detail.

You will manage petty cash, vendor bill payables, and assist in production accounting, including budgeting vs actual spends and vendor reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• BCom or equivalent qualification.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Accounting Operations: manage day-to-day petty cash, vendor bill payable, client invoices, and project closures.
• Petty Cash & Expense Management: oversee petty cash disbursement, reimbursements, and expense documentation.
• Compliance & Documentation: maintain documentation for audits, update client/vendor master data, and support audits.
• Production & Project Accounting: track costs for shoots/campaigns, reconcile budgets vs actual spends, and ensure correct booking of payments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day petty cash related expenses.
• Help in vendor bill payable, client invoices promptly and accurately.
• Help in vendor reconciliations, Project closures.

2. Petty Cash & Expense Management

• Oversee petty cash disbursement, reimbursements, and maintain proper documentation.
• Track production-related cash spends, reimbursements, and approvals.
• Regularly reconcile petty cash and ensure adherence to internal approval and expense policies.

3. Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain and organize all supporting documentation for audits.
• Ensure timely updates of client/vendor master data, contracts, and financial documents.
• Support during internal and external audits.

4. Production & Project Accounting (Specific to Creative / Production House)

• Track and record costs for ongoing shoots, productions, and campaigns.
• Liaise with production managers to reconcile project budgets vs. actual spends.
• Ensure accurate booking of artist payments, vendor advances, and production-related expenses.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal teams and vendors.
