Job Description Academic Manager
Role Purpose
The Academic Manager will support the Head CCTV Monitoring & Academic Compliance in using CCTV-based classroom monitoring to assess teaching quality, academic discipline, and compliance. The role will focus on observation, analysis, reporting, and follow-up, ensuring monitoring leads to actionable academic improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Monitoring
- Conduct and review CCTV-based classroom observations.
- Assess teaching quality, student engagement, classroom management, academic rigor, and SOP compliance.
- Guide CCTV Executives on observation standards and escalation criteria.
Analysis & Reporting
- Validate CCTV observations for accuracy and objectivity.
- Compare observations with Principal/academic reports and highlight significant gaps.
- Prepare daily/weekly insight reports and support monthly trend and risk analysis.
Follow-up & Accountability
- Track identified academic gaps and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Principals and academic teams for timely closure.
- Escalate recurring or critical issues to the Head with evidence.
Team Management & Capability Building
- Train and mentor CCTV Executives on classroom observation and report writing.
- Monitor team productivity, quality, and coverage.
- Conduct regular quality checks of observations.
Process Improvement
- Support effective timetable mapping, camera tagging, monitoring coverage, and SLAs.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Support development and implementation of monitoring SOPs.
Key Deliverables
- Daily/weekly CCTV academic insight reports
- Classroom observation and compliance trackers
- Principal vs. CCTV observation variance reports
- Monthly trends and risk analysis
- Action/closure tracking
- CCTV Executive quality and productivity reports
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
- 5–8 years in academic operations, school leadership, QA, compliance, or classroom monitoring.
- Experience in school networks/large educational organisations preferred.

- Strong follow-up and stakeholder management

- Not a security-only surveillance role
- Not passive CCTV monitoring
- Not data dumping or report compilation
- Not only fault-finding
The role is focused on converting classroom observations into actionable academic insights and improvement.
