Job summary

Qualifications

Role Description

The Academic Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based at AchieversIT Academy in Bengaluru. The role involves meeting and counseling prospective and current students to understand their academic background, interests, and career goals. The Academic Counselor guides learners in selecting suitable courses, creating individual learning plans, and providing ongoing academic advising throughout their programs. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, responding to inquiries, maintaining accurate student records, and coordinating with trainers and administrative staff to support learner progress. The role also includes organizing orientation sessions, sharing information about career opportunities, and following up with learners to ensure timely course completion and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in making informed academic and career decisions.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with students, families, and internal teams.
• Candidates should possess Academic Advising skills to help design learning paths and monitor academic progress.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Education and training programs, preferably in IT or professional skill development.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in educational institutions or training centers, proficiency with basic computer applications and CRM tools, strong organizational and follow-up skills, and a learner-focused, inclusive approach.
• A bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Business, or a related field is preferred.
