Job summary

Balajee Arun Educational Society is seeking an AC Technician (Transport Department) to inspect, maintain, and repair AC systems on school buses and transport vehicles. The role requires 4–8 years of experience in automobile AC, with preference for experience in bus or fleet maintenance.

The candidate will diagnose cooling problems, gas leaks, compressor faults, and electrical issues while performing gas charging, leakage testing, and component replacement.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or related field is required.
• 4-8 years of experience as an Automobile AC Technician.
• Experience in bus, school transport, commercial vehicles, or fleet maintenance is preferred.
• Good knowledge of vehicle AC systems and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair AC systems of school buses and transport vehicles.
• Diagnose AC-related issues such as cooling problems, gas leakage, compressor faults, and electrical issues.
• Perform AC gas charging, leakage testing, and replacement of faulty components.
• Maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, blowers, belts, and related AC parts.
• Carry out regular preventive maintenance of vehicle AC systems.
• Attend to emergency AC breakdowns and ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain records of AC servicing, repairs, spare parts, and gas usage.
• Coordinate with the Transport and Maintenance teams for vehicle servicing. Ensure all AC systems are functioning properly and safely before vehicles are deployed.
• Follow safety procedures while handling refrigerants, electrical components, and tools.
