Job summary

Brose in Pune, India invites an experienced SAP ABAP developer to join a permanent role. The position involves delivering ABAP-based solutions, designing components, and supporting SAP technologies across HANA, UI5, Fiori, and related services.

You will collaborate with the development team, deliver on project timelines, and mentor junior colleagues while contributing to architecture and best practices in a fast-paced SAP environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software development experience in SAP ABAP environments.
• Strong ABAP-RICEF experience with reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and smartforms.
• OO programming in ABAP and modern coding syntax (7.5+).
• Experience with Adobe Forms and WebDynpro.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA, SAP UI5, and Fiori.
• Experience with SAP Web Services, OData, and SAP Gateway.
• CDS views and annotations knowledge is a plus.
• AMDP knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP services is a plus.

• Complete development activities such as coding, testing, documentation and maintenance support for SAP Custom Development solutions. (ABAP Development)
• Communicate development status according to the project plan and agreed timelines.
• Realization of software development requests in timely fashion there by escalating issues well in advance.
• Estimation for own tasks/activities.
• Be flexible in taking up different tasks in software development team as per the business requirement
• Work closely with other development team members to ensure successful project completion
• Team collaboration to support the team s objectives and responsibilities.
• Prepare high-level technical design and development roadmap based on the blueprint.
• Handling of incidents, service requests, demands, and changes on need basis.
• Quality reviews of own and other developments to keep up the customer expectations
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers

Qualifications

• Software engineer with 8-10 years experience in software development (agile methodologies)
• ABAP-RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Smartforms)
• ABAP Object oriented programming
• Experience in SAP 7. 5 onwards new coding syntax
• Adobe forms
• WebDynpro
• SAP-HANA, SAP-UI5 and Fiori knowledge will be an added advantage
• Experience with SAP Web Services, OData, and SAP Gateway is a plus.
• Experience with Core Data Services (CDS) views and annotations is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) is a plus.
• Good to have knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services and extensions.
