Software Engineer Full Stack Java Development
Position Overview
We are seeking an experiencedSoftware Engineerto join our dynamic product engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy scalable, resilient, and highly available microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Working in a collaborative Full-Stack eXtreme Programming (XP) environment, you will leverage Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, CI/CD automation, and advanced AI-assisted engineering tools to deliver high-impact digital products that drive business value.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level engineer who is passionate about cloud-native architecture, modern software practices, and mentoring others in a fast-paced, innovation-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x microservices on Google Cloud Platform
- Build and optimize APIGEE endpoints and RESTful APIs with comprehensive Swagger documentation
- Architect and implement multi-tier caching layers using endpoint caching, cache-aside patterns, and read/write-through strategies
- Develop full-stack solutions integrating backend services with React-based frontend applications
- Implement Spring Batch, reactive programming, and data stream/pipeline processing for enterprise-scale applications
- Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, Agentic AI) to accelerate design, refactoring, and documentation
- Implement AI-driven testing strategies and predictive defect analysis to improve code quality
- Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate them into development workflows
- Mentor team members on best practices for utilizing AI-assisted development tools
DevOps, SRE & Monitoring
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and Cloud Build on GCP infrastructure
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for reproducible and scalable deployments
- Automate performance monitoring and establish predictive telemetry using Dynatrace and Splunk
- Apply AIOps-driven guidelines to minimize Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) and enhance system reliability
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance across all deployed microservices
Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand current state (as-is) and design future state architectures
- Evaluate technical solutions against commercial and cost criteria to optimize cloud spending
- Advise product and engineering teams on cloud design patterns and architectural best practices
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on technical implementation and career growth
- Provide accurate user story estimation and technical feasibility assessments
