Technical Program Manager
About the Role

We are building the next generation of conversational AI for healthcare — autonomous agents that connect patients with care, navigate appointments, and close gaps in clinical workflows for leading US health systems.

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to be the operational backbone of our AI team. You will own program management, project tracking, roadmap visibility, and cross-functional coordination across multiple engineering and product teams — and serve as a key point of contact for customer-facing delivery commitments.

This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of engineering execution and product delivery. You will work directly with engineering leads and the VP of Engineering to keep a fast-moving team organized, unblocked, and shipping.

What You’ll Do
Program & Project Management
  • Own end-to-end program management for AI team initiatives — from kickoff through launch — tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and blockers across multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Maintain a single source of truth for project status across multiple teams — ensure everyone knows what’s happening, what’s at risk, and what needs decisions
  • Run weekly team syncs, sprint reviews, and cross-team planning meetings with crisp agendas, clear owners, and documented outcomes
  • Proactively identify schedule risks and drive resolution before they become delays — elevate appropriately and propose mitigation options, not just problems
  • Manage dependency maps across teams — flag where one team’s work blocks another’s delivery, where capacity constraints affect roadmap commitments, and where design timelines affect customer demos
Roadmap & Launch Tracking
  • Maintain and communicate the AI team roadmap across near-term sprints, quarterly milestones, and longer‑horizon planning — ensuring alignment between engineering capacity and delivery commitments
  • Track feature readiness across all launch criteria — engineering completion, QA, documentation, customer onboarding readiness, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate launch task management — who does what, by when, in what order — across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Own the release calendar and communicate changes to affected teams with sufficient lead time to adjust
  • Build and maintain dashboards that give leadership and stakeholders real‑time visibility into program health without requiring status update meetings
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Serve as the connective tissue across multiple engineering and product teams — making sure handoffs are clean, interfaces are agreed, and no team is surprised by what another team delivers
  • Partner with the VP of Engineering on capacity planning, headcount allocation across programs, and sequencing decisions when priorities conflict
  • Coordinate with teams across time zones — including US-based engineering, product, and customer success teams — to align AI deliverables with broader roadmap commitments
  • Support engineering leads in running effective sprint planning, retrospectives, and quarterly planning cycles
Customer-Facing Delivery
  • Coordinate customer delivery commitments — understand what was promised to which health system, track engineering progress against those commitments, and surface risks with enough lead time to act
  • Prepare customer-facing delivery updates and status reports — translate technical progress into language health system partners understand and trust
  • Support customer onboarding coordination — track what each customer needs for a successful go‑live and ensure the AI team delivers it on time
  • Act as a communication bridge between engineering and customer success during integration and launch phases
What We’re Looking For
Required
  • 3+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or a closely related role at a software or technology company
  • Demonstrated ability to track and drive multiple concurrent engineering programs — you’ve managed projects with real dependencies, real deadlines, and real consequences for slipping
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you write crisp project updates, clear meeting notes, and sharp status reports that busy engineers and executives actually read
  • Experience working across multiple engineering teams simultaneously — you know how to maintain context across design, backend, infrastructure, and product without dropping threads
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies — you’ve run or participated in sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming, and understand how to apply these frameworks pragmatically rather than rigidly
  • Hands‑on experience with program management tools such as Jira, Asana, Linear, or similar — comfort learning new tools quickly matters more than expertise in any specific one
  • Comfort with ambiguity — you can create structure where none exists, define a process from scratch, and keep moving when requirements aren’t fully defined
  • A bias for action — you close loops, follow up without being asked, and don’t let things sit in ambiguity when a 15‑minute conversation would resolve them
Strongly Preferred
  • Experience at a fast‑paced technology company with a strong engineering culture — high ownership, direct communication, and written clarity over meeting‑heavy processes
  • Exposure to AI or machine learning product development — you understand what terms like model evaluation, latency, and agent workflow mean even if you didn’t build them yourself
  • Experience in healthcare technology — familiarity with compliance requirements, health system procurement cycles, or clinical workflow integration
  • Experience with conversational AI, voice AI, or LLM‑based product delivery — understanding of what makes these products hard to ship reliably
You’re Probably Not the Right Fit If
  • You need complete clarity before getting started — this role requires comfort building the plane while flying it
  • You see program management as primarily about updating tracking tools — this role requires genuine cross‑team leadership and influence without authority
  • You prefer to focus in one functional area — this role deliberately spans multiple engineering and product teams simultaneously
About the Team

Our team is a small, experienced group of engineers with backgrounds at large‑scale technology companies. We operate with high ownership, direct communication, and a strong preference for written clarity over meeting‑heavy processes.

We’ve built conversational AI healthcare agents from scratch — handling real‑time patient communication, care navigation, and appointment scheduling for health system partners. We care about latency, reliability, compliance, and shipping things that actually work for patients and clinicians.

We’re at an exciting stage — our AI work has real distribution into health systems across the country, and a genuine opportunity to have clinical impact at scale.
