Qualifications

• Experience as MSSQL DBA for SQL Server, 2012–2019.
• Experience with Log Shipping, Replication, Mirroring, Clustering, Always On AG.
• Strong performance tuning skills for MSSQL servers.
• Proficiency with MSSQL Profiler / Extended Events.
• Ability to identify capacity/performance risks and recommend improvements.
• Automation and self-healing to standardize operations.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce toil and improve monitoring.

Principal responsibilities

The job holder is responsible for technical delivery of 24x7 production support to MS SQL Sybase Database servers and Windows servers

Identify automation and Self Healing opportunities to reduce manual efforts and standardize processes

Investigate and provide solutions to database performance related issues query tuning knowledge will be an added advantage

Handle crisis calls

Proficient in maintaining complex High Availability Replication setups

Requirements

Experienced in MSSQL DBA activities versions 2012 to 2019

Experienced on MSSQL Log shipping Replication Mirroring Clustering Always On Availability Groups AG

Proficient in performance tuning of MSSQL servers

Proficient in using MSSQL Profiler Extended Events usage
