Job summary

EXL Talent Acquisition Team in India is seeking an accounting professional to manage accruals, invoicing, and receivables while coordinating with multiple stakeholders. The role supports system deployments and testing within the Accounting Center of Excellence, handling variances and ad-hoc projects.

The position emphasizes accurate accounting treatment, reconciliations, and cross-team collaboration to ensure financial integrity across monthly and quarterly cycles.

Responsibilities

• Book accruals for premiums, commissions and reserves and perform monthly/quarterly reconciliations.
• Understand accounting treatments for corrections, errors and reclassifications.
• Prepare invoices and manage receivables, monitor >90 days write-offs, transfer to non-admitted accounts as needed.
• Support deployment/testing of new admin systems for the Accounting Center of Excellence.
• Collaborate on adhoc testing, deployments and related projects.

Job description

• Accounting to book Accruals (Journal entries for premiums, commission, reserves etc)Monthly & Quarterly reconciliation of GL and SL balances and research for variances, as needed
• Accounting skills to understand the accounting treatment for corrections/errors/reclass etc
• Receivables Management - Preparation of invoices/billing statements, Tracking of outstanding receivables and Transfer of non-recoverable amount (>90 days) to non-admitted account. Preparing wires/settlements. Research and resolve queries pertaining to any adhoc tasks/audits/reports etcCoordinate with multiple stakeholders like Brokers, TPAs, Underwriters, Claims, Actuaries, Treasury etc. on a regular
• Assist project team in the deployment/testing of any new admin system for Accounting Center of Excellence
• Collaborate on any adhoc projects related to testing, new deployment, etc.
