Job summary

Innovaccer is hiring for an SDE-1 Fullstack Engineer to develop a multi-tenant platform with FastAPI, Django, Node.js, and React interfaces. You will enable referral workflows, FHIR migration, and healthcare data interoperability, while ensuring data isolation across tenants.

You will collaborate with teams to implement scalable backend services, responsive dashboards, and Kubernetes deployments, with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-stack web development with Python (async), FastAPI/Django, and Node.js/Express.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Material Design.
• MongoDB (primary) and PostgreSQL (optional) with schema design and SQL optimization.
• FHIR R4, HL7, and REST API design patterns.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Git, Jira, Postman, and monitoring tools (ELK or Datadog).
• Healthcare domain knowledge including HIPAA/compliance awareness.
• Multi-tenancy design patterns and microservices architecture.
• Automated tests writing/maintenance with standard frameworks.

About the Role

We’re looking for an SDE-1, Fullstack Engineer to develop and maintain a multi-tenant application platform with integrations to InNote, P360, Gravity, and AidBox (FHIR-first schema).

You’ll build scalable backend services and responsive frontend interfaces for healthcare providers and payers, working across the full stack on referral workflows — from creation and approval to tracking and fulfillment — while contributing to a broader FHIR migration effort that brings our data models in line with FHIR R4 standards.

A Day in the Life

Referral Workflow Development

• Build full-stack features for referral workflows — creation, approval, tracking, and fulfillment.
• Develop RESTful APIs with FastAPI/Node.js for referral CRUD, status transitions, and reporting.
• Build React-based dashboards and workflows for referral management.

Integration & Interoperability

• Integrate with InNote and Gravity APIs for data exchange and workflow orchestration.
• Lead FHIR migration efforts — convert existing data models to FHIR-compliant schemas.

Data & Multi-Tenancy Architecture

• Implement multi-tenancy architecture ensuring data isolation and tenant-specific customizations.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL/MongoDB schemas for referral entities and audit trails.

Quality, Collaboration & Operations

• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests; maintain >80% code coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Deploy and monitor services in Kubernetes environments using Argo CD.
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams on requirements and acceptance criteria.

What You Need

Must-Haves

• 2+ years of Full-stack web development experience with Python (async), FastAPI/Django, and Node.js/Express.
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Material Design.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB (primary) and PostgreSQL (optional), including schema design and SQL optimization.
• Working knowledge of FHIR R4, HL7, and REST API design patterns.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, Postman, and monitoring tools such as ELK or Datadog.
• Healthcare domain knowledge, including FHIR basics and HIPAA/compliance awareness.
• Understanding of multi-tenancy design patterns and microservices architecture.
• Comfort writing and maintaining automated tests using standard testing frameworks.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with InNote or similar EHR platforms.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• GraphQL implementation experience, to be used with AidBox.
