Job summary

The Lead Vision in Ghaziabad, India, is seeking a skilled 3D Character Modeler to transform concept art into production-ready assets for animation.

You will work with Blender and Maya, ensure clean topology, rigging readiness, and collaborate with Texture, Rig, and Look Development teams to deliver high-quality characters for kids animation and features.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D character models from concept art and references.

• Model facial features, clothing, accessories, hair, and other details.
• Follow model sheets and art direction.

• Incorporate feedback and deliver on deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D character models based on concept art and references.
• Develop stylized, cartoon, and realistic characters.
• Maintain clean topology and proper edge flow for deformation.
• Prepare production-ready models for rigging, animation, texturing, and rendering.
• Work on facial features, clothing, accessories, hair, and other character details.
• Follow model sheets, turnaround references, and art direction.
• Coordinate with Texturing, Rigging, Animation, and Look Development teams.
• Incorporate feedback and deliver work within production deadlines.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Blender and Autodesk Maya.
• Good understanding of character anatomy, proportions, topology, and deformation.
• Experience in creating stylized/cartoon characters for animation.
• Knowledge of UV preparation and basic texturing requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain character consistency.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 35 years of professional experience in 3D Character Modelling.
• Experience in kids animation, nursery rhymes, TV series, or feature animation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ZBrush, Substance Painter, or related software is a plus.
• Understanding of animation-friendly topology and rigging requirements.
• A strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating character modelling skills is required.
