Job summary

EXL seeks an experienced accounting professional with 12+ years in R2R to ensure timely and accurate daily, monthly, and periodic processing. You will lead a team, coordinate with onshore units, and drive governance meetings while ensuring policy compliance and audit readiness.

The role emphasizes strong R2R knowledge, close processes, client management, and the ability to coach team members through complex reconciliations and journal reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong R2R knowledge and close processes across monthly, quarterly and annual closes.
• Exposure to GL accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
• Knowledge of investment accounting (capital contribution, dividends, securities, assets).
• Ability to review critical journal entries and sign off with accuracy.
• Ability to consult with onshore teams to ensure timely completion and issue escalation.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and feedback to team members to improve performance.
• Manage client relationships and handle escalations/queries.
• Drive governance meetings and anticipate client business needs.
• Partner with onshore teams to support internal/external audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Education Requirements: B.COM/M.COM/MBA Work Experience Requirements: Accounting Graduate with more than 12 years of experience in Accounting/R2R. Good Communication Skills. Responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of daily, monthly and periodic processing as per business requirement

• Strong R2R knowledge
• Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Close process, GL Accounting, Journal Entries, Reconciliations, Reporting and analysis
• Knowledge of Investment accounting like Capital contribution, Dividends, Bonus, securities, Assets accounting etc. is required
• Review of critical journal entries, reconciliations and month/quarter end activities before onshore sign off
• Consult with onshore BU Controllers, Up steam & Downstream teams during close to ensure timely completion of deliverables and escalation of issues
• Team management skills -Provide coaching and feedback to team members to enable them to improve their performance
• Client management
• Handle escalations /queries. Drive Governance Meetings, Understand & anticipate clients’ business needs, concerns & issues, and be able to proactively resolve the same
• Partner with onshore team to support internal/ external audits
