Job summary

Punt Creative in Mumbai is looking for an Animator/Motion Designer to craft high‑quality 2D motion graphics for campaigns, social and digital content. You’ll interpret brand tonality, design basic supers and lower thirds, and collaborate with Art Directors and Video Editors to keep work on brand and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, strong After Effects skills, and a good grasp of animation principles; familiarity with AI tools and branding will be a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of animation experience, ideally in an agency or production environment.
• Strong command of primarily After Effects; secondarily in Premiere Pro, or Da Vinci Resolve.
• Knowledge of Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus
• A solid grasp of animation principles (timing, weight, easing)
• Comfort with AI and video tools such as Envato, Ps/Lr Actions. Understanding of Higgsfield and video generation is a plus.
• Experience optimising content for different platforms and objectives
• A portfolio that shows range, brand understanding and a point of view!

Responsibilities

• Producing high-quality 2D/motion graphics animation for campaigns, social, and digital content.
• Understanding various brand’s tonality and designing basic supers, lower thirds and animation graphics for everyday workflow requirements, with the ability to ensure on-brand language in terms of animations, edit style, colour correction and motion graphics.
• Collaborating with Art Directors, Video Editors, and the broader Creative team.
• Integrating AI-assisted animation tools into your workflow where they genuinely speed things up, without letting them flatten the work.
• Taking and implementing feedback across rounds without losing momentum or intent.
• Managing your time across multiple projects, hitting deadlines, and flagging issues early when needed.
• Staying current on motion design trends, tools, and techniques, and actually applying what you learn.

What you'll be doing

• Taking and implementing feedback across rounds without losing momentum or intent.
• Managing your time across multiple projects, hitting deadlines, and flagging issues early when needed. You'll almost always be juggling more than one thing. We don't expect perfection, but we do expect communication.
• Staying current on motion design trends, tools, and techniques, and actually applying what you learn. We want someone who's genuinely curious about where things are going, not someone who learned one way of working years ago and never looked up again.
