Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India seeks a Private Equity Senior Associate to support US tax compliance, review financial data, prepare tax returns, and validate compliance with applicable laws. You will analyze complex issues, mentor juniors, and contribute to multiple workstreams with a client-focused mindset.

You will engage with US tax and fund accounting teams, apply professional standards, and navigate changing priorities within PwC’s Tax Services practice.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in US Taxation, with focus on Partnership and Corporate fund structures.
• Experience in Private Equity, Real Estate, Hedge Fund, Credit, and/or Fund-of-Fund structures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Strong multi-tasking capabilities and ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English proficiency required.
• Highly effective communicator with attention to detail and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the calculation of State and Foreign tax withholdings (IRC 1446/1441).
• Review non-resident state withholding waivers forms.
• Review tax forms: 1065, 1120, 588, 1099, W-8, 8832, 8875, 8865, 8937, 8082, 966.
• Perform Federal K-1 and State K-1 schedule review for all Partners.
• Prepare and review tax work papers calculating partnership income.
• Gather and analyze financial information from portfolio companies.
• Track partnership/partner tax basis.
• Assist with quarterly income tax estimates preparation and ASC 740 workpapers.
• Support miscellaneous projects and ad-hoc requests.
• Analyze and document issues; debug with users or support team.
• Interact with US tax and fund accounting teams.

As a Private Equity Senior Associate you will support tax compliance work for clients by reviewing financial data, preparing and filing tax returns, and helping validate compliance with tax laws and regulations within our Tax Services practice. As a Senior Associate you will analyze complex issues, build meaningful client connections, and develop your skills while guiding junior team members and contributing to assigned workstreams with a client‑focused mindset. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the calculation of State and Foreign (IRC 1446, IRC 1441) tax withholdings
• Assist in the review of non-resident state withholding waivers forms
• Review the following tax forms: 1065, 1120, 588, 1099, W-8, 8832, 8875, 8865, 8937, 8082, 966

• Gather and analyze financial information from underlying portfolio companies
• Track partnership/partner tax basis
• Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly income estimates

• Analyze and document issues and help debug issues found by users or support team

Desired Candidate Profile
