Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India is seeking a Private Equity Experienced Associate to support tax compliance and review client financial information within our Tax Services practice in Bengaluru. You will engage in preparing filings and validating regulatory adherence, learning quickly while contributing to client engagements.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 1 year of experience in US Taxation, with focus on Partnership and Corporate fund structures.
• Experience in Private Equity, Real Estate, Hedge Fund, Credit, and/or Fund-of-Fund structures preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• English written and spoken proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the calculation of State and Foreign (IRC 1446, 1441) tax withholdings.
• Assist in the review of non-resident state withholding waivers forms.
• Review the following tax forms: 1065, 1120, 588, 1099, W-8, 8832, 8875, 8865, 8937, 8082, 966.
• Perform Federal K-1 schedule and State K-1 schedule review for all Partners.
• Prepare and review tax work papers that calculate partnership taxable income.
• Gather and analyze financial information from underlying portfolio companies.
• Track partnership/partner tax basis.
• Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly income estimates.
• Prepare ASC 740 tax provision workpapers.
• Participate in process documentation efforts and the creation of SOPs.
• Identify process gaps and initiate process improvement projects.
• Provide support on miscellaneous projects and ad-hoc requests.

As a Private Equity Experienced Associate you will support tax compliance work within our Tax Services practice, helping review client financial information, prepare tax filings, and validate compliance with tax laws and regulations. As an Associate you will contribute to client engagements by learning quickly, adapting to varied situations, asking questions, and taking ownership of assigned work while developing your technical skills and professional judgement. In this role at PwC, you will handle tasks tied to tax planning and compliance, collaborate with team members across a fast‑paced environment, and build a career path through exposure to a range of client needs and technical work within our General Tax Consulting network and Global Compliance Services focus.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 1-3 years’ experience in US Taxation, with a focus on Partnership and Corporate fund structures
• Experience in Private Equity, Real Estate, Hedge Fund, Credit, and/or Fund-of-Fund structures
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word)
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, critical thinking and decision‑making skills
• Strong multi‑tasking capabilities and can deliver under tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate and partner with multiple stakeholders; English spoken and written capabilities are required
• Highly effective communicator with exceptional attention to detail and documentation standards
• A desire to work in an international team environment, often under pressure and with multiple stakeholders

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Master's in Commerce
• At least 1 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required
