Job summary

Focus Ireland invites applications for a Project Worker role at The Extension, a drop-in centre for young people aged 16-26 who are homeless or at risk. The role focuses on delivering information, advice and guidance, assisting with housing, welfare and education options, and running workshops.

You will work within a supportive team, uphold a welcoming environment, and maintain accurate records while attending supervision and training as required.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in social care or related field; CORU registration is desirable.
• Two years’ experience with vulnerable or marginalised youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, advice and guidance to young people accessing The Extension service.
• Support housing, welfare, education, training, and healthcare options for youth.
• Deliver information sessions and practical workshops for homelessness prevention.
• Maintain accurate records, referrals and daily logs.
• Work collaboratively as part of the Extension Day Service team.
