Job summary

The role requires QQI Level 5 Care Support or similar, a full driving licence, and a commitment to safeguarding, with responsibilities including transportation, personal care, and record-keeping within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• QQI level 5 Care Support or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Experience working with people with disabilities is required.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and transport safety is essential.
• Driver's license to operate transit vans would be an advantage.
• Good organisational skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of group workshops and activities for young adults.
• Assist with personal care and daily living as identified.
• Support young adults in rehabilitative training activities and outings.
• Assist with safe transport in line with guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain records for service users and safeguarding compliance.
• Undertake training as directed by management.
• Carry out other duties as needed and promote independence.
