Job summary

Builders Providers Castlebar is seeking a dedicated Yard Person / Storeperson / Delivery Driver / Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join their busy team in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

The role includes loading materials, handling orders, local deliveries, and maintaining a safe yard. The ideal candidate has experience in builders providers or warehouse settings, with a clean driving licence and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in builders merchants, hardware store or warehouse environment.
• Clean driving licence required.
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with loading building materials and products.
• Pick, prepare and check customer orders.
• Carry out local deliveries in a company vehicle.
• Receive, unload and inspect supplier deliveries.
• Maintain an organised, clean and safe yard and warehouse.
• Operate a forklift safely (training available if required).
• Assist with stock control and regular stock takes.
• Serve customers at the trade counter when required.
• Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service.
• Work closely with warehouse, sales and management teams.
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
