Job summary

Apleona Ireland is seeking an experienced Working Cleaning Supervisor for our Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow site. You will oversee cleaning operations, train staff, and ensure health and safety standards are met.

The role is 35 hours per week across a 5-day rotation, with opportunities to progress as a team leader within the business. Previous cleaning supervision experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of English.
• Knowledge of how to use equipment necessary to carry out the tasks.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Able to manage own time effectively.
• Able to take instruction and complete tasks to a high standard.
• Knowledge of Principles of Chemical Safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure training is given to employees on cleaning products and roles.
• Maintain stock levels and replenish when minimum levels arise.
• Organise cleaning and housekeeping around the building.
• Report and store lost and found items.
• Provide basic information on facilities when required.
• Handle complaints in line with management.
• Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain confidentiality on all matters.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Attend training and meetings and participate in performance reviews.
• Keep records and prepare reports as required.
• Remain flexible to business changes and best practices.
• Take care of health and safety for themselves and others.
• Follow safety rules as set out by company and clients.
• Wear PPE as required.

Apleona is looking for an experienced and hands-on Working Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow.

Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 on a rotating Monday-Sunday roster.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Ensuring correct and thorough training is given to all employees on the cleaning products and cleaning roles within their establishment.
• Ensuring correct levels of stock is held and replenish when minimum levels arise.
• Organising general housekeeping and cleaning around the building and litter control
• Report and store lost and found items
• May when required, provide basic information on facilities
• Handle complaints in line with your manager.
• Promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
• Maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to service users, ex-service users and general business
• Adhere to all company policies & procedures
• Attend training and meetings as required and appropriate and participate in performance reviews
• Keep accurate records in relation to all aspects of work and prepare reports as required
• Have a flexible approach to work in response to business change, development and review of best practice
• Take care of their own health & safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions
• The post holder is expected to follow all the health, safety & welfare regulations
• Comply with the safety rules set out in the Company Policies and any safety rules set out clients
• Wear any personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied - Safety shoes/safety glasses/high-vis vests or any other item of PPE identified by the client or risk assessment for that task
