Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a Window and Door Fitter for a permanent role in Cork City. You will measure, fit and seal windows and doors, ensuring perfect alignment and weatherproofing on on-site installations.

The role offers a full-time contract, a negotiable salary depending on experience, and a company vehicle to support site work. Immediate start available for experienced window and door fitters.

Qualifications

• Experience installing Windows and Doors on site.
• Knowledge of measurement techniques and tool use.
• Valid driving license and trade certifications.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and fitting windows accurately into openings.
• Transporting windows, frames, and materials to the worksite.
• Using drills, saws, caulking guns to install window components.
• Applying weatherproofing and insulation for energy efficiency.
• Removing old windows and replacing with new ones, with repairs as needed.

Your new role includes:

• Measuring and fitting windows accurately into window openings, ensuring proper sealing and alignment.
• Handling and transporting windows, frames, and other materials to and from the worksite.
• Using hand tools and power tools, such as drills, saws, and caulking guns, to cut, shape, and install window components.
• Applying weatherproofing and insulation materials to ensure windows are sealed and energy-efficient.
• Removing old windows and frames and replace them with new ones, performing repairs when necessary.

Experience you need:

• Previous experienceof working with Windows and Doors on site
• Knowledge of window installation techniques, measurements, and tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of windows and doors.
• Good communication skills for working with clients, team members, and supervisors.
• A valid driving license and any relevant trade certifications
