Job summary

Design Build Search in Dublin seeks an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Service Technician to service, fault-find and repair commercial aluminium window, door and faade systems for a busy Leinster project portfolio.

The role involves glazing, hinge/lock repairs, realignment, water ingress investigations, and planned preventative maintenance with a strong emphasis on quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in window, door, glazing or faade industry.
• Experience with commercial aluminium window/door systems.
• Glazing and installation experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of site Health & Safety requirements.
• Full driving licence essential.
• Previous experience in commercial window and door maintenance, remedial works, glazing and replacement installations would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair commercial aluminium windows, doors and faade systems.
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
• Repair and replace hinges, locks, handles, gearing, restrictors, closers and associated hardware.
• Adjust and realign existing windows and doors.
• Carry out glazing works including glass replacement where required.
• Remove and replace existing windows and doors.
• Install new aluminium windows, doors and associated faade components.
• Carry out remedial and replacement works to existing commercial faade systems.
• Investigate water ingress, draughts and operational issues.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service calls.
• Complete service reports and identify any additional remedial works required.

Due to growth across the Leinster region, they have an opening for Maintenance Fitter / Service Technician the successful applicant will join a high performing team. Our client is involved in a lot of high-end developments with a strong pipeline of work. The role will involve a combination of servicing, fault-finding and repairing commercial aluminium window, door and faade systems, together with glazing.
