Job summary

Design Build Search in Dublin is looking for a Maintenance Fitter / Service Technician to join a high performing team. You will service, fault-find and repair commercial aluminium window, door and façade systems, including glazing, across Leinster.

The role requires strong fault-finding, a high standard of workmanship and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a valid driving licence and focus on safety on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within the window, door, glazing or façade industry.
• Experience working with commercial aluminium window and door systems.
• Good glazing and installation experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of site Health & Safety requirements.
• Full driving licence essential. Previous experience in commercial window and door maintenance, remedial works, glazing and replacement installations would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair commercial aluminium windows, doors and façade systems.
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
• Repair and replace hinges, locks, handles, gearing, restrictors, closers and associated hardware.
• Adjust and realign existing windows and doors.
• Carry out glazing works including glass replacement where required.
• Remove and replace existing windows and doors.
• Install new aluminium windows, doors and associated façade components.
• Carry out remedial and replacement works to existing commercial façade systems.
• Investigate water ingress, draughts and operational issues.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service calls.
• Complete service reports and identify any additional remedial works required.
