BnM is seeking a Wind Farm Technician to join our team in Ireland. You will work with OEM technicians to maintain wind turbines, substations, and related equipment, delivering safe and efficient performance.

The role requires electrical qualification (QQI Level 6) and at least five years in power generation or industrial plants, with IT proficiency and HV operations experience. Travel to other sites and on-call coverage may be required.

Competenze

• Electrical Craft Certificate (QQI Level 6) or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years experience in Power Generation or Industrial plants.
• IT proficiency and familiarity with HV operations.

• Maintain wind turbines alongside OEM technicians following OEM procedures.

BnM currently has an opening for a Wind Farm Technician to join our team. Wind farms are maintained by a small team of technicians reporting to the maintenance manager. They are responsible for achieving challenging maintenance, engineering, commercial, safety, environmental, quality and personal development targets.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:

• Maintenance of wind turbines alongside OEM technicians in line with OEM procedures while ensuring maintenance plans and targets for the team in line with OEM's procedures are achieved safely and economically.
• Operating and maintenance of substations to achieve maximum plant availability, efficiency and safety in line with maintenance plans.
• Carry out fault diagnosis as required, ability to work at heights.
• Pro-active and creative in problem solving with hydraulics and electrical experience. Experience with high voltage operations is desirable.
• Willing to travel to other wind, solar and battery sites to carry out role as required and cover on call.
• Progress the ongoing development of the Maintenance team through good communication, involvement and teamwork.
• All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises.
• Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives.

What we're looking for:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes:

• Electrical Craft Certificate - QQI Level 6 required. An electrical / mechanical trade qualification recognised in Ireland is required. Should possess appropriate technical qualification including a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
• 5 year's experience in Power Generation or Industrial plant experience.
• IT proficient and familiar with HV operations.
