Job summary

You will prepare tender packages, measure on site, forecast costs, and report on financial performance while working with project teams to maximise profitability and minimise risk.

Qualifications

• Relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role with a main contractor.
• Experience delivering residential, commercial or mixed-use projects with procurement, valuations and final accounts.
• Strong understanding of contracts, reporting, cost control and risk management within main contracting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage tender packages, evaluate subcontractor returns, and lead negotiations through to subcontract agreements.
• Take ownership of commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement through final account.
• Measure and quantify works on site to support valuations, variations and cost reporting.
• Assist in cost forecasts, budget tracking and contract value reconciliations to meet targets.
• Prepare interim valuations and variations with full substantiation as projects progress.
• Update projected final accounts and report on commercial performance and cost exposure.
• Work with project and site teams to maximise profitability and minimise risk.
