Job summary

AbbVie, Westport, Ireland, is seeking a Maintenance Shift Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance for Manufacturing Operations. You will manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure continuity and the effectiveness of production, reporting to the Associate Director.

The role involves weekend rotating shifts (days, evenings and nights), coordinating with external contractors and internal stakeholders while maintaining cGMP, HPRA/FDA compliance and strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a highly regulated industry in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Proven instrumentation troubleshooting ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills for external interactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee continuity across shifts with handovers and weekend planning.
• Review and approve timecards for PSEs.
• Ensure training schedules, toolbox talks, and work orders are completed.
• Lead weekly planning meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain cGMP, HPRA/FDA compliance and document activities.
• Cross-train team members and uphold Right First Time.
