Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Design Team in Ireland. In this role, you'll work on exciting Water and Wastewater Treatment projects, developing engineering design skills and collaborating with various teams to produce detailed design solutions. You should have a Level 7/8/9 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, strong fundamentals in mechanical design, and ideally some experience in the water industry. This position emphasizes innovation and technical expertise in project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering design fundamentals including fluid mechanics and hydraulics.
• Experience with engineering design calculations for pumping systems, pipework networks, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in the Water Industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative design solutions for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
• Assist in all aspects of Mechanical design from site surveys to tender pricing.
• Collaborate with Senior Design Engineer on end to end design projects.
