Job summary

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Ireland is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join its Water team. You will work on major water infrastructure projects across Ireland and internationally, from planning to construction, taking a technical lead and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities include leading civil design of water and wastewater systems, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project and commercial management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in water, wastewater and/or surface water infrastructure design.
• Experience with pipelines, water networks and pumping stations is advantageous.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects and client engagement.

Job description

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join its growing Water team in Ireland. Excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil/Water Engineer to work on a diverse portfolio of major water infrastructure projects across Ireland and internationally. You'll be involved from early planning and concept design through to detailed design and construction, while taking a technical lead on projects and supporting the development of junior engineers.

Projects

• Water supply and distribution networks
• Wastewater infrastructure and treatment projects
• Pumping stations and pipeline design
• Surface water and drainage infrastructure
• Flood resilience and climate adaptation projects
• Major multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes

Role

• Lead the civil design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Manage projects from concept and planning through to detailed design and construction
• Deliver pipeline, network, pumping station and drainage designs
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders
• Support project and commercial management
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Strong experience in water, wastewater and/or surface water infrastructure design
• Experience with pipelines, water networks and pumping stations advantageous
• Civil 3D, Revit, OpenRoads, MicroStation or similar BIM/design software experience
• Strong technical leadership, project management and client-facing skills
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects

Salary

• Salary: €60k - 75k (depending on experience) + Bonus / profit-sharing scheme
