Job summary

Jacobs in Ireland is seeking a Design Manager to coordinate multidisciplinary design activities for water and wastewater projects across UK & Ireland. You will manage defined design packages, scope, programme, technical interfaces and change, working with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and construction teams to deliver buildable designs.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating the design or engineering delivery of water or wastewater projects.
• Proven record managing defined design packages or project workstreams, including scope, programme, interfaces and change.
• Practical understanding of how engineering design interacts with construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Design & Build contracts and CDM requirements.
• Experience working in NEC3 or NEC4 delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary detailed design activities across water projects.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process teams to produce integrated, buildable designs.
• Track progress, coordinate inputs and resolve technical or delivery issues.
• Ensure buildability, sequencing, safety and operational requirements are reflected in design.
• Provide design management support to project teams and clients.
