Job summary

Culligan Ireland is seeking a Water Cooler Refurb Operative in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, to inspect, repair and refurbish returned products, ensuring safe, cost-effective work to high quality standards.

You will perform PAT safety checks, diagnose faults, replace components, document results and support stock control while maintaining accurate records and adhering to health and safety policies. The role includes a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with a probation period and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Experience in target oriented production environment.

• Counter balance forklift license – desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess returned products to determine refurbishment opportunities.
• Carry out electrical and visual safety checks prior to testing (PAT testing).
• Test products and retain reusable components from BER items.
• Diagnose faults and perform required repairs before testing.
• Replace external panels and components per procedures.
• Clean and sanitize products to hygiene standards.
• Descale products as required.
• Conduct final inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all work.
• Support stock control and liaise with team leader on re-ordering needs.
• Safeguard stock and secure handling of components.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations and WHA standards.
• Complete administrative tasks in company systems.
• Provide training support to colleagues on procedures.
• Document warranty and returns work as per processes.
• Undertake any additional tasks as directed by manager.

Contract Type: Full Time Permanent - subject to 6 month probation

Location: Mitchelstown Co. Cork

Salary: €32,000 per annum, paid monthly

We are looking for a Refurb Operative to join our team, working on testing, repairing and refurbishment of returned products in line with the business needs. To ensure that work is carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner to the required quality standard as well as assisting with the identification of any failure trends by means of fault finding and logging findings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess returned products to determine refurbishment opportunities
• Carry out electrical and visual safety checks prior to testing (PAT testing)
• Test all suitable products, retaining reusable components from those deemed beyond economical repair (BER)
• Diagnose faults and perform required repairs prior to testing
• Replace external panels and components in line with company procedures
• Clean and sanitize products using approved chemicals, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards
• Descale products as required
• Conduct final inspections to ensure products meet required quality standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work carried out
• Support stock control and liaise with the team leader on re-ordering needs
• Safeguard stock and ensure secure handling of all components
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations and WHA technical/manual standards
• Complete administrative tasks using the company's systems
• Provide training support to colleagues on correct procedures where required
• Document all warranty and returns work in line with current processes
• Undertake any additional reasonable tasks as requested by your line manager

Requirements

• Previous experience of working in a target orientated production environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Technical and logical aptitude
• Capable of prioritizing tasks
• Ability to manage own workload within given deadlines.
• Must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude and be self-motivated
• Previous experience of working in a repair center with relevant products
• Current counter balance fork truck license - desirable
