Job summary

Jacobs Ireland seeks a Wastewater Modeller to deliver hydraulic modelling for wastewater and drainage projects across Ireland. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop, verify and apply models for feasibility, planning and detailed design.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in wastewater and drainage modelling software InfoWorks ICM and InfoAsset Manager.
• GIS proficiency with ArcGIS and MapInfo for spatial analysis integration with hydraulic models.
• Strong knowledge of Irish client specifications and national standards for water projects.
• Demonstrable track record delivering technical projects within the Irish water sector.
• Ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in Ireland.
• Flexible, well-organized, and able to meet project deadlines in a consultancy setting.

Responsibilities

• Support technical delivery of projects with Project Managers to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Develop, build, verify and maintain wastewater hydraulics models.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams across projects including model build and validation.
• Undertake optioneering for CSO compliance and capacity issues.
• Investigate and resolve wastewater and drainage network issues.
• Manage surveys for model updates and improvements; review contractor submissions.
• Prepare technical reports and modelling studies for client deliverables.
• Develop modelling solutions to mitigate development impacts and discharges.
• Assist with cost estimates and modelling budgets; supervise site surveys as needed.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver project outputs; mentor junior engineers.
