Job summary

CAME BPT UK is hiring a Warehouse Operative for their Ballymount, Dublin operation. The role covers day-to-day warehouse operations including picking, packing, despatching orders and receiving deliveries. You will work in a small team, with diverse tasks and customer-facing duties.

THE ROLE

Do you have warehouse, production or trade-counter experience? Are you somebody who enjoys a varied working day and being part of a small, friendly team? We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our CAME Ireland team in Ballymount, Dublin. This is a varied role where no two days are necessarily the same. Your main responsibility will be looking after the day-to-day warehouse operation, including accurately picking, packing and despatching customer orders, receiving incoming deliveries and helping us keep the warehouse organised and running smoothly.

The role may also include:

• Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Operating a forklift truck
• Regular stock checks and stocktakes
• Preparing orders for collection and despatch
• Assisting customers visiting our trade counter
• Helping with general warehouse and branch duties
• Making occasional deliveries to customers in the Dublin area and surrounding locations

We are a relatively small team, so we are looking for somebody who is happy to get involved, help their colleagues and turn their hand to different tasks when required. As a business-to-business company, providing a great service and building good relationships with our customers is extremely important to us. You don't need to be a salesperson, but we would like somebody who is friendly, helpful and comfortable dealing with customers face-to-face.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, we would love to hear from somebody who has:

• Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, production or trade-counter environment
• A valid forklift licence
• A full valid driving licence
• Experience loading and unloading vehicles safely
• Good attention to detail and takes pride in doing a job properly
• Basic computer skills and confidence using systems such as Outlook and Excel
• A friendly and helpful approach when dealing with customers
• A willingness to contribute within a small team and a positive, "get the job done" attitude

The salary offered will reflect your experience, qualifications and ability to undertake the full range of duties. Candidates able to carry out the complete role, including forklift operation and customer deliveries, will be eligible for the full advertised package of up to €34,000 OTE.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

The first stage of the process will be a brief call with a member of our HR team to discuss your experience and ensure the role is a good fit. Following that, if successful, interviews will then take place at our Dublin office in Ballymount and will normally last around 45 minutes.
