Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a motivated Forklift Driver to join a client’s growing team in Dublin 13. The role suits an experienced Warehouse Operative eager to contribute to loading, packing, order preparation and stock control.

You will operate a forklift or pallet truck, load and unload, count stock, maintain accurate records and follow health & safety procedures to ensure timely shipping and deliveries. A valid forklift license and manual handling certification are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative, ideally in a distribution centre.
• Valid reach and/or counterbalance forklift licence with 1-2 years of forklift operation.
• Valid manual handling certification.
• Experience with stock counting and inventory software and scanners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup per schedule, including loading, packing, labelling and shipping.
• Perform picking, packing, check-in, shipping and freight forwarding tasks.
• Complete all required warehouse/shipping documentation accurately.
• Follow Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements, including manual handling procedures.
• Load/unload vehicles, count and check incoming stock, and allocate items using forklift/pallet truck.
• Sort and place materials in correct locations and maintain stock records.

Your new role includes:

• Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule. This includes loading, packing, wrapping, labelling, and shipping orders.
• Performing a variety of tasks related to picking, packing, check-in, shipping, and freight forwarding activities.
• Accurately completing all required documentation related to warehouse and shipping activities.
• Actively participating in all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements, including adhering to manual handling procedures.
• Loading and unloading vehicles, accurately count and check incoming stock, and allocate items to appropriate storage spaces using a forklift or pallet truck.
• Sorting and placing materials in the correct allocated locations, checking for damaged or missing items, and maintain accurate stock records.

Experience you need:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative, ideally in a distribution centre.
• Valid reach and/or counterbalance forklift license with 1-2 years of experience operating a forklift.
• Valid manual handling certification.
• Experience with stock counting and inventory management software, especially using scanners.Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects.
