Job summary

Elliott Baxter Ireland Limited is seeking a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver for our Rathcoole, Dublin distribution site. The role requires Counterbalance and VNA licences, with a strong focus on safety, accuracy and teamwork.

You will receive, move, store, pick and prepare stock, using our Warehouse Management System and handheld scanners to ensure timely delivery. This is a full-time, permanent position with standard hours and a commitment to safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance forklift license and previous operating experience.
• Valid VNA license and previous narrow-aisle truck experience.
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience and confidence carrying out manual handling duties.
• Good attention to detail and basic numeracy for stock checks.
• Sufficient English to understand safety instructions and use the WMS.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance and VNA trucks safely and in line with procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move, replenish and store stock within the warehouse.
• Carry out manual handling duties and support efficient goods flow.
• Use WMS and handheld scanners and complete basic documentation.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 10:00am-7:00pm / 6:00am-3:00pm (with 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Our warehouse teams are central to the dependable service we provide. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join our busy Dublin distribution team in Rathcoole.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time, permanent role, suited to someone with valid Counterbalance and VNA forklift licences, good warehouse experience and a strong focus on safety, accuracy and teamwork.

Working as part of the Dublin warehouse team, you will help receive, move, store, pick and prepare stock accurately and efficiently. You will use our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and handheld scanners and play an important part in ensuring customer orders are ready for reliable, on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Forklift

• Operate Counterbalance and VNA trucks safely and responsibly in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move, replenish and store stock correctly within the warehouse.
• Carry out manual handling duties safely and support the efficient flow of goods through the warehouse.

Order Picking, Stock & Systems

• Pick, scan and prepare customer orders accurately and to the required standard.
• Check stock quantities and product details and report any discrepancies or damage promptly.
• Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and handheld scanners accurately.
• Complete basic warehouse documentation and follow agreed stock and operational processes.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe and organised at all times.
• Report hazards, equipment faults, stock issues or damage promptly to the appropriate manager.
• Follow company procedures, health & safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Work positively with colleagues, drivers and managers to support the safe and efficient running of the warehouse.

About You

We are looking for someone dependable, safety-conscious and accurate, with practical warehouse experience and the ability to work well as part of a busy distribution team.

• Valid Counterbalance forklift license and previous operating experience.
• Valid VNA license and previous narrow-aisle truck experience.
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience and confidence carrying out manual handling duties.
• Good attention to detail and basic numeracy skills for checking stock, quantities and orders.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to understand safety instructions, follow workplace procedures, use the WMS and complete basic documentation.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, drivers and managers.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Experience using a Warehouse Management System, handheld scanners or additional warehouse equipment would be an advantage. Previous experience within paper, board, print or a similar distribution environment would be useful, but is not essential.
