Job summary

Avolon, a leading global aviation finance company, seeks a VP Technical - Powerplant Transaction Management to own all customer-related Powerplant activities within a defined region. The role combines deep technical powerplant knowledge with commercial acumen to drive results.

You will lead negotiations on LOIs, manage engine leasing deals, and build strategic relationships with airlines, MROs, and OEMs to deliver value and optimize asset utilization worldwide.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or minimum of five years relevant technical powerplant experience.
• Business Degree or minimum of five years relevant commercial experience.
• Strong aircraft and/or engine leasing experience, ideally from both Lessee and Lessor perspectives.
• Track record of working with Airlines and senior Management in technical or commercial capacity.
• Strong people management and project management skills.
• Ability to identify issues quickly and deliver effective solutions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations of LOIs for aircraft and engine leases and related topics.
• Represent Powerplant aspects in repossessions and transitions between lessees.
• Collaborate with airlines to optimize engine shop visits and reduce costs.
• Lead engine leasing deal teams to maximise lease revenues.
• Develop relationships with airlines, MROs and OEMs to position Avolon as a leader in powerplant solutions.
• Maintain inputs into opportunities and hazards for Powerplant and Asset Solutions.
