Job summary

Fidelity is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead the Contact Center Core engineering team in Galway, Ireland. You will own strategy, architecture, and delivery for real-time, cloud-native engagement orchestration across voice, chat, and CRM integrations.

As a hands-on senior technical executive, you will build a global engineering organization, set architectural direction, drive reliability, and partner with product, security, and operations to scale the platform while delivering

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise-scale SaaS or CCaaS.
• 7+ years of engineering leadership with 3+ years in senior leadership.
• Experience building global engineering organizations across geographies.
• Strong knowledge of omnichannel journeys across voice, digital and CRM.
• Hands-on with Java and Spring Boot; cloud deployment on AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, event-driven architectures, REST/gRPC.
• Proven ability to drive reliability, SLOs/SLIs, and operational maturity.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering vision, architecture, roadmap, execution, and production accountability.
• Build and lead a high-performing global engineering team across geographies.
• Define and deliver engagement orchestration layer for multichannel journeys.
• Partner with product, security, and operations to scale the platform.
• Drive architecture decisions across services, data models, and APIs.
• Establish standards for cloud-native development, observability, and safety.
