Job summary

Fidelity in Galway is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Technical Lead to steer technical direction and engineering standards while delivering modern microservices and user interfaces for investment solutions managing over $950bn in assets.

You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD and DevOps practices, and collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for Portfolio Analytics and Trading capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software design and development.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful services.
• Experience with Angular or a similar front-end framework.
• Designing and developing microservices-based applications.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps practices with CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to engineers.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automation and testing.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for critical applications.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Help establish and maintain engineering standards across the team.
