A leading global healthcare and life sciences services organisation is seeking a Vice President, Financial Performance, Investment Analysis & M&A to join its executive finance leadership team at its international headquarters in Dublin.

This is a high-profile opportunity for an experienced finance executive to operate at the centre of strategic decision-making, partnering directly with the CEO, CFO and Board while leading a team of senior finance professionals across performance management, investment analysis and M&A support.

The organisation is a multi-billion-dollar, publicly listed global enterprise employing over 40,000 people worldwide. Following a period of significant transformation, the business is entering a new phase of growth under recently appointed leadership, making this an exceptional time to join.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 18 finance professionals and oversee three critical areas of responsibility:

1. Corporate Financial Performance & Executive Decision Support

Acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, you will:

  • Consolidate enterprise-wide forecasts and plans (produced by a separate Business Partnering Finance org vertical)
  • Deliver group-level performance analysis and insights
  • Lead scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis
  • Support strategic planning and long-range forecasting
  • Produce Board and Executive Committee materials
  • Support external guidance and investor communications
  • Develop management reporting, earnings call materials and executive presentations
  • Translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations
2. Corporate Functions Finance Leadership

You will partner with senior functional leaders across areas such as Technology, Commercial and Corporate Services to:

  • Support investment and resource allocation decisions
  • Challenge expenditure assumptions and business cases
  • Monitor delivery of strategic investments
  • Drive financial discipline and value creation
  • Evaluate headcount, spend and transformation initiatives
3. Investment Analysis, M&A & Corporate Development

Working closely with corporate development and external advisers, you will:

  • Evaluate acquisition and strategic investment opportunities
  • Lead financial due diligence activities
  • Assess earnings quality, working capital and value creation potential
  • Build and review transaction models
  • Support transaction structuring and negotiations
  • Partner with legal, accounting and advisory firms
  • Contribute to post-deal integration planning and execution
Candidate Profile

We are interested in speaking with ambitious senior finance leaders who combine strong commercial judgment, analytical depth and executive presence.

You are likely to bring:

  • Significant experience within Group Finance, Strategic Finance, Corporate FP&A or Commercial Finance
  • Experience supporting CEOs, CFOs and Boards
  • Strong forecasting, planning and performance management capabilities
  • Exposure to M&A, transaction services, due diligence or corporate development
  • Experience operating within a large, global and matrixed organisation
  • A proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong leadership experience managing high-performing teams

Experience gained within a listed company, global professional services firm, consulting environment or Big Four practice would be particularly attractive.
