Job summary

Fortis Recruitment is seeking a proactive Financial Director to lead the finance function, expand reporting and BI capabilities, and drive governance across Credit Control, Purchase Ledger, Payroll, Treasury and Finance Administration. You will engage with senior leaders, the Board and lenders to support growth and development.

The role requires a qualified accountant with at least 8 years' post-qualification experience, a strong track record in financial controls, reporting, budgeting and audit

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • BI systems implementation with cross-functional integration.
  • 8+ years post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
  • Strong financial controls, reporting, budgeting and audit management.
  • Experience leading finance teams.
  • Experience with financial systems, controls and process improvement.
  • Analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience preparing reporting for executives, Boards and stakeholders.
  • Experience in healthcare/hospitality/multi-site operations is desirable.
  • Experience managing lender reporting and banking relationships.
  • Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments.

Job description

Reporting to: Divisional Chief Financial Officer & Group Chief Financial Officer

My client, a highly successful Irish-owned business is seeking to hire a proactive, forward-looking Financial Director to head up our finance function and expand our reporting and data capabilities. The role carries responsibility for maintaining strong financial controls and high-quality reporting, while managing the finance team across Credit Control, Purchase Ledger, Payroll, Treasury and Finance Administration. A key strategic priority for this position will be overseeing the successful rollout, refinement and integration of the organisation's finance and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms across multiple systems.

This is a high-visibility role with substantial engagement with senior leadership, the Board, lenders and operational management across the business. The person appointed will play a central part in supporting the ongoing growth and development of the organisation.
