Acorn Vets in Mallow, part of the IVC Evidensia network, is hiring a Veterinary Nurse for our busy small animal practice. This full-time role offers a varied nursing position within a supportive, collaborative team and opportunities for professional development.

You will work across surgery, inpatient care, client consultations, and diagnostic procedures, with a rota that includes some Saturdays and minimal out-of-hours commitments. We value enthusiasm and patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with VCI registration is required.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and welfare.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Willingness to work in a busy small animal practice and on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Surgical nursing and anaesthesia monitoring.
• Inpatient care and hospitalisation management.
• Nurse consultations and client education.
• Diagnostics and laboratory work; medical nursing and treatment planning.
• Support the veterinary team across a varied caseload.
