National Veterinary Associates is offering an externship at Navan Veterinary Services for veterinary students in their clinical education. Students will work closely with a supervising veterinarian, gaining hands-on experience in gathering patient histories, performing examinations, creating treatment plans, and possibly assisting in surgical procedures.
This externship, lasting from two to eight weeks, provides a stipend for travel and living expenses. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can reach their full potential.
In this on‑farm externship, students will work closely with a supervising veterinarian to gather patient histories, perform physical examinations, create treatment plans, conduct diagnostics, provide dentistry services, observe, assist or perform surgical procedures, and manage patient medical care. Students will also develop communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
Externships range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. They are available to veterinary students in their final year of veterinary school and those in the clinical portion of their education.
Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel and living expense stipend.
