Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to design and build software tools and UX interfaces that support sensor technology research, development, validation, and deployment. You will work on scalable MVC-based frameworks and engineering applications using MATLAB, Python, C, and C++.

Ideal candidates bring a strong background in embedded systems, SoC architectures, RTOS/embedded Linux, and experience with sensor fusion technologies, XR/AR, or IoT devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Commercial experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or embedded software development.
• Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, C, and C++.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software engineering best practices.
• Experience developing software tools for sensor technologies, embedded systems, or engineering applications.
• Knowledge of inertial sensors (IMU), motion sensing, or sensor fusion technologies.
• Familiarity with compiler development, interpreters, or software toolchains.
• Understanding of System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures including CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.
• Experience working with embedded Linux, RTOS environments, or device driver development.
• Exposure to XR/AR, automotive systems, IoT devices, smartphones, wearables, or consumer electronics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software tools and user interfaces supporting sensor technology research, development, and validation.
• Architect scalable software frameworks using established software design patterns including MVC, event-driven programming, and component-based architectures.
• Develop engineering applications using MATLAB, Python, C, and C++ to support data processing, analysis, and workflow automation.
