Job summary

Sensor-Tech in Ireland is seeking a System SW Engineer (UX Front-end) to bridge hardware and software by building intuitive UI tools, dashboards, and data processing workflows for sensor systems.

You will code in Python and MATLAB with exposure to C/C++, implement unit tests, and collaborate across hardware and software teams to optimize performance and usability in SOC-based platforms. This role offers remote work within Ireland and stock options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a related technical field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering or system tool development.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB with modern C/C++ standards.
• Experience with OOP and software design patterns.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as Google Test.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software tools, UIs, and frameworks using MVC, event-driven, and component-based designs.
• Develop interactive UI dashboards for sensor data visualization and integrate frontend with backend data processing.
• Write clean, maintainable code in Python and MATLAB (C/C++ exposure) and perform unit/system testing.
• Balance trade-offs in speed, memory, power, and computational complexity.
• Assist in building hardware simulation models and developer tools for SOC architectures.
