Job summary
Pfizer in Ireland seeks a Utilities & Energy Engineer to support operation, optimisation, commissioning and continuous improvement of site utility systems, including chilled water, steam, condensate, compressed air and HVAC, plus pharmaceutical water systems.
You will troubleshoot issues, drive reliability improvements, and identify energy optimisation opportunities across site assets, embedding energy performance in lifecycle management.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Energy or Chemical Engineering.
- Typically 3–5+ years in industrial utilities, facilities or energy engineering.
- Experience delivering CAPEX and OPEX engineering projects.
- Experience commissioning industrial equipment and utility systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specs, narratives and vendor docs.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for site utility systems to optimise energy efficiency.
- Monitor performance, capacity and parameters to identify reliability and energy improvements.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for utility equipment failures.
- Develop solutions to improve utility system resilience and energy performance.
- Review operating strategies and setpoints to reduce energy use and costs.
- Lead/ support commissioning of energy projects from design through handover.
