Synergy Recruitment Partners is seeking an experienced Head of Energy Operations to oversee mission-critical utility and facilities management across 30+ client sites in Ireland, primarily serving pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

This high-impact leadership role combines strategic growth, full P&L accountability, and direct oversight of 24/7 technical operations across industrial, healthcare, and food & beverage sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline, or 10+ years of equivalent senior operational experience.
• Deep technical and operational background in the pharmaceutical sector or heavily regulated industrial environments.
• Proven track record in full P&L management, commercial contracting, and leading large technical teams.
• Experience participating in senior leadership, strategic implementation, and M&A integration.
• Strong emotional intelligence, adaptability in dynamic environments, and superior stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Lead ~350 indirect team members across General Manager structures, fostering a strong performance culture and robust succession planning.
• Commercial & P&L Oversight: Take full P&L ownership of Energy Operations in Ireland; drive sustainable revenue growth, operational excellence, and contract delivery.
• Safety & Compliance: Oversee complete health and safety protocols across all site operations in partnership with central assurance teams.
• Client & Strategic Growth: Build deep relationships with senior client stakeholders, support M&A opportunities, and expand market presence across key industrial sectors.
• Innovation & Sustainability: Drive process innovation and sustainability initiatives to meet evolving environmental and operational standards.

This high-impact leadership role combines strategic growth, full P&L accountability, and direct oversight of 24/7 technical operations across industrial, healthcare, and food & beverage sectors. You will lead a high-performing division managing complex utility infrastructure—including steam, compressed air, chilled water, pharma-grade HVAC, and high/medium/low voltage electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
