Job summary

Beacon Hospital in Dublin is seeking a Uro-Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead specialist nursing care for patients with urological cancers, coordinating MDT pathways and providing expert support to patients and families.

The CNS will participate in planning and delivering education, to ensure high-quality care across the cancer services, in line with NCCP guidelines and best practice standards.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate course completion in Clinical Practice, with focus on Urology or working towards same.
• Minimum five years post registration experience.
• Three to five years’ experience working with Urology patients.
• Experience in Oncology work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level nursing care for Uro-Oncology patients within MDT framework.
• Coordinate planning, implementation and evaluation of care plans for cancer patients.
• Deliver education and training to staff and patients' families.
• Lead and support MDT meetings and clinical pathways for urology cancer.
• Ensure compliance with NCCP guidelines and evidence-based practice.
