Job summary

Google Ireland is seeking an Engineering Analyst within Trust & Safety to develop scalable AI safety solutions and to apply data science methods for improving protection measures. You will work with Product, Engineering, Policy, and Legal teams to fight abuse and protect users globally.

You will leverage ML techniques to evaluate models, deploy improvements, and coordinate multiple projects while communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in data analysis, including trends, statistics, and insights.
• 2 years of experience managing projects and defining scope, goals, deliverables.
• 2 years of experience utilizing Python and SQL for engineering problems.
• Experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable safety solutions for AI products across Google using ML techniques.
• Apply statistical methods to examine protection measures and derive actionable insights.
• Compute statistics (e.g., precision, recall) and identify nuanced model performance issues.
• Lead multiple interdependent projects across teams to align objectives and results.
