Job summary

Annyalla Chicks Ltd in Co. Monaghan is seeking a reliable Truck Driver / Poultry Transport Operator to safely move day-old chicks and poultry products between hatcheries, farms and customer sites. You will follow strict animal welfare, hygiene and biosecurity standards while maintaining high safety and service levels.

Qualifications

• Full clean Category C or CE driving licence.
• Experience in HGV/truck driving preferred.
• Good health & safety and biosecurity awareness.
• Reliable with strong time management.
• Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings.
• Calm, professional attitude with live poultry.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep vehicles clean and roadworthy.
• Safely transport day-old chicks and poultry products to farms and sites.
• Follow animal welfare, transport and biosecurity procedures.
• Ensure deliveries are on schedule and paperwork is correct.
• Maintain hygiene inside vehicles and equipment.
• Communicate with hatchery staff, farms and management.
• Follow road safety rules and company procedures.
• Support hatchery operations when required.

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver / Poultry Transport Operator to join our team at Annyalla Chicks. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of day-old chicks and poultry-related products between hatcheries, farms and customer locations while ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, hygiene and biosecurity are always maintained.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with professional driving experience who wants to build a long-term career within the poultry and agricultural industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition
• Safely transport day-old chicks and poultry products to farms and customer sites
• Follow all animal welfare, transport and biosecurity procedures during loading, transport and unloading
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
• Complete transport paperwork and delivery documentation correctly
• Maintain high hygiene standards inside vehicles and transport equipment
• Communicate effectively with hatchery staff, farms and management teams
• Adhere to all road safety legislation and company procedures
• Support hatchery operations when required

What we look for
