Job summary

Annalitten Farm Eggs in Ireland is seeking a Responsible Farm Manager to oversee a busy poultry operation near Castleblayney. The role covers flock welfare, egg collection, site cleanliness, and routine machine maintenance.

You will train other operatives, keep records, and work as part of a small team. Own transport is essential; shifts run Monday to Friday with weekend duties as required; a 4-day rota with occasional Saturday/Sunday work.

Qualifications

• Experience in farming: 1 year (required).
• Fluent English required.
• Own transport essential due to farm location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure welfare of flocks and egg gathering.

Annalitten Farm Eggs is a family run business, we care passionately about our track record of providing quality eggs to our valued customers for over 60 years.

One quarter of all the eggs we sell are laid on the family farm. There are over 100,000 hens laying eggs every morning.

Responsible Farm Manager required for busy poultry farm in Castleblayney.

Daily work will include:

• Ensuring the welfare of the flocks,
• egg gathering,
• maintaining the cleanness of the site,
• Machine maintenance,
• Training other operatives.
• Record keeping.

Excellent communication skills required.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Own transport is essential as the farm is located 5 km from Castleblayney town and 13km from Carrickmacross.

• Monday to Fridays. Usual start time is 8 am.
• Flexibility required for Bank Holidays.
• We operate a 4 day on/2 day off work rota. Employees are expected to be able to work on a Saturday & Sunday depending on the 4 day work period in the rota.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €33,000.00 per year
